Solar Energy in Scotland – A New Dawn?

May 20, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Solar energy has come a long way in the last 60 years, from a niche technology providing electricity on satellites to mass renewable energy on earth. Ever reducing cost means that it is becoming increasingly viable even in Scotland, with additional benefits also including the chance to tackle fuel poverty, energy security, community sustainability and new business opportunities. The talk will cover the importance and development of solar energy, leading up to an understanding of where we are now and some perspective on where we will be in the next few decades, in Scotland and in the wider world.

In this Evenings of Enlightenment event, Dr. Neil Robertson will talk about the development of solar power, where we are now and offering a perspective on where we will be in the next few decades.
